MBA (MASTER OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION)
The Master of Business Administration (MBA) is an internationally recognized post graduate level and two years (four semesters) course. It is an entirely executive level skill-oriented program directed at preparing professional leaders as well as managers for the business and corporate-business sectors. The program focuses on enhancing managerial and entrepreneurial capabilities of students through the curricular and co-curricular activities.
Objectives of the Program
The MBA Specifically aims to:
- Prepare managers for business and non-business sectors by developing their professionalism.
- Develop entrepreneurs capable of evaluating risks and taking challenges in the emerging global business environment.
- Inculcate knowledge, skill, and attitude in students so that they become result oriented and socially responsive professionals with a scientific approach
Curricula Structure
The MBA program of Purbanchal University designed at 69 credit hours with 23 courses components. Of the 23 courses, students are required to take 16 courses from foundation, analytical tool, core and functional area (44 credits), 3 Elective courses (6 Credits in I, II and III semesters) 4 specialization courses (8 credits in III and IV semesters), Seminars (6 credits in II, III and IV Semesters) and graduate research project & Thesis (5) credits in IV Semester). In the beginning of the fourth semester, students will be assigned to firms/organizations for eight weeks as an internship for business orientation and practical experience. By the end of the final semester, they have to submit a thesis. .
The specialization areas include Marketing, Finance, Human Resource Management and Operations and Supply Chain Management
